The Effect of Classical Music Therapy on Blood Pressure Reduction in Hypertension in the Elderly at Tresna Werdha Budi in South Kalimantan Province

Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure. Management of high pressure can be carried out with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. Pharmacological therapy reducing stress by listening to classical music. The purpose this study was determine the effect music on elderly hypertension. research design pre-test experimental a one-group post-test approach. population all people hypertension at Tresna Werdha Budi Sejahtera Social Institution, South Kalimantan Province, amounting 52 people. sample 15 purposive sampling technique. Data analysis through Wilcoxon test using 95% confidence level. results before being given had average systolic 142 mmHg after 124 mmHg. There influence between Institution Banjarbaru, Province (p value = 0.001). Nurses provide nursing care interventions reduce provision music.
